Let me tell you a little story...

Why did I become a drop-in cat sitter? It all started on a chilly Yorkshire morning…

I'll always remember my first cat-sitting job. I was asked to look after a couple of lovely fluffballs called Harry and Harvey.

'Sign me up!', I said. Earning some extra cash while looking after two adorable cats? That's a win-win in my book.

Little did I know, they'd soon steal my heart.

Harry and Harvey were timid at first. They'd eat their food and play a little, but they weren't the affectionate, bubbly felines I'd met just a day or two before.

Harry and Harvey were timid at first. They'd eat their food and play a little, but they weren't the affectionate, bubbly felines I'd met just a day or two before.

Something dawned on me...

This wasn't going to be a simple cat babysitting gig.

Harry and Harvey missed their owner. They were stressed out. And it was my job to make them feel comfortable, cosy and cared for.

It was hard work. But after a couple of days of slow blinking and gentle strokes, they each accepted me as a friend. I'd done it – and it felt amazing.

My cat-sitting philosophy was born that day. This wasn't about filling up food bowls and kicking back on the sofa. Cats are beautiful, sensitive creatures – and I was going to make sure that every cat I cared for felt the same love and warmth they'd expect from their owner.

I haven't looked back since. Thanks, Harry and Harvey.

My approach to in-home cat care

It's simple – cats come first, forever.

Choose my home cat-care services and I'll promise you two things.

Firstly – and most importantly – I'll care for your cats like they're my own. Their happiness and welfare are my top priorities. No 'off days', no exceptions.

This means giving them plenty of cuddles and attention – but only if they want it. As a qualified feline behaviourist, I know the signals that say 'more strokes please' or 'leave me alone'. Every cat is unique, after all, and it takes time and patience to gain their trust.

Secondly, I'll treat your home with the utmost respect. I pride myself on being careful, considerate and trustworthy. So when you work with me, you can expect locked doors, tidy floors and – of course – happy cats.

Happy Cats and Happy Owners

Don't just take my word for it… here are a few kind words from my many happy customers.

My qualifications

That's right – I'm a bona fide cat academic!

Level 3 Feline Behaviour and Psychology diploma

Cats are complicated, fascinating creatures.

That's why I've dedicated my life to learning how they communicate and what makes them tick.

Level 2 Diploma in Animal Care and Welfare (Veterinary Care Support)

Looking after animals means everything to me. This course helped me learn the science behind my passion.

(And I passed with distinction – hooray!)

The Hyperthyroid Cat Centre

I spent two happy years working at the Hyperthyroid Cat Centre. This is the UK's largest specialist referral centre for cats with hyperthyroidism.

And a little about me…

What do I do when I'm not cat sitting in your home? I'm probably thinking about cats!

Seriously – cats are my whole world. I've owned cats since I was six years old, and have always loved their warm, caring, complicated personalities. (Not to mention their odd character traits!

I am cared for by three lovely cats of my own; Pippa, Nala, and Maui.

I spend much of my spare time learning about feline behaviour or feeding the colony of feral cats that come to visit me at home. I often act as the local cat chauffeur, too, ferrying felines to and from rescue centres, veterinary surgeries and their owners' homes.

Failing that, you'll find me on my motorbike, exploring the Yorkshire countryside with my husband. (And daydreaming about cats, no doubt!)
